Every year, the month of May is observed as the Mental Health Awareness Month in the US. The whole aim is to spread the awareness about the importance of mental health all over the world using various sources of media, events, etc.

Considering that I am a big proponent of mental health, I think there is no better time than now to stress the importance of mental health and write about it. This year’s theme for the Mental Health awareness month is 4mind4body. Mind and body are interconnected way more than we assume. Taking care of the body has been proven time and again to improve mental health. 4mind4body theme of the Mental Health Awareness month this year is focusing just on that. Some of the key areas that could affect mental health which in turn we can intervene in to improve your overall physical and mental health –

  1. Diet
  2. Exercise
  3. Sleep
  4. Stress

I want to limit how much I write on this post about all this. I would rather you go to the MHA website and read about and utilize the resources for yourself. Spread the word, spread the awareness – mental health is as crucial as physical health for a healthy and happy life.
